Scampston Hall has recently hosted the filming of J. B. Priestley's famous play, An Inspector Calls. The feature length TV drama was made by Drama Republic for the BBC, and stars David Thewlis, Miranda Richardson and Ken Stott.

Mark Gladwin, location manager for Drama Republic, commented

"I would like to thank Chris, his family and the team at Scampston Hall for helping us with our filming on An Inspector Calls. Throughout the prep, shoot and strike period of nearly six weeks they helped make the shoot run smoothly and were the perfect location owners to work with. We could not have asked for more and the experience was friendly and enjoyable".
