Welcome to Scampston Hall
Scampston Hall, home to Christopher & Miranda Legard and their family, is one of the finest examples of a regency country house stately home in North Yorkshire.
Christopher & Miranda love to share their beautiful home and gardens, whether it be as a special venue for a wedding, a setting for a corporate event or as day visitors keen to learn a little of the history of this fascinating building and to see the fine contents.
Lovingly restored by the Legard's, this is a family home and there are no ropes or other barriers to be seen; Sir Charles, Christopher's father, assisted by a friendly team of guides, enjoys taking people round the hall in small groups so that everyone can see everything at close quarters and ask plenty of questions.
The award winning Walled Garden is a must see and is open to the public from April to October. The Cascade Circuit Walk provides visitors with the opportunity to visit the traditional gardens around the house including the Rock Garden, the Woodland Garden and the Lancelot 'Capability' Brown lakes and park.
