Lake Life-cycles!
wildlife club

This month, take part in pond dipping and learn about the amazing creatures that live in the lakes at Scampston! Create your own mini aqua zoo!

After meeting in the main carpark, we will head to the lakes in the parkland and learn how to safely pond dip. Family groups will work together to collect and identify a range of pondlife and create their own mini aqua zoo. We'll then return to the woodland education area for a campfire snack with a song/story. Finally, we'll play games to learn about pond life cycles and make a mini raft to take home.

This session will complete 2/8 activities needed to earn the Wildlife Trust Hedgehog Award.

Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

About Wildlife Club

Each session will offer a wider range of hands-on fun and adventurous environmental activities, as well as an opportunity for outdoor play, crafts and games.

The club is designed to offer its members the chance to experience nature first hand, try new and exciting challenges and learn 'outdoor' skills.

Children can also use Wildlife Club to earn credit towards the Wildlife Trusts Wild Award
