Introduction to Jacobean Crewel Embroidery
10am - 4.30pm
£45 per person (plus £15 material costs)
Try your hand at working this beautiful Jacobean leaf design in the traditional technique of crewel embroidery.

Join Amanda for this workshop in traditional crewel embroidery. You will be guided step-by-step, showing how to work a range of traditional stitches, including stem stitch, chain stitch and trellis.

This workshop is ideal for those with limited embroidery experience or for those who may have not picked up a needle in years! Embroidery hoops and scissors will be available to borrow or purchase on the day. Choose to work your leaf in blue, purple or green.

Extra Details

Teas and coffees will be available throughout the day but please bring your own packed lunch or visit Scampston Garden cafe for a bite to eat.

About Amanda Carter
Amanda has been a dressmaker for many years and has a keen interest in all forms of embroidery. She has studied with the Royal School or Needlework and enjoys passing on traditional embroidery techniques to others.
