This month, come along as we find and identify a range of minibeasts in different habitats, learn about ways to catch and observe them and why they are so important.
Itinerary
After meeting in the main carpark, we will head to the woodland education area. Family groups will work together to find and identify minibeasts and create their own minibeast zoo. Groups will also be able to try sweep netting. Once complete, we'll have a campfire snack and share our zoo tours. Finally, family groups will use tools to make a mini insect hotel to take away.
This session will complete 2/8 activities needed to earn the Wildlife Trust Hedgehog Award.
Children must be accompanied by at least one adult.
About Wildlife Club
Each sessions will offer a wider range of hands-on fun and adventurous environmental activities, as well as an opportunity for outdoor play, crafts and games.
The club is designed to offer its members the chance to experience nature first hand, try new and exciting challenges and learn 'outdoor' skills.
