Scampston’s Spring Community Weekend is your chance to experience the Walled Gardens and Parkland in a different way – for free!
Now in its 5th year, this annual weekend is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our Ryedale residents for continuing to support our attraction.
The walled garden, hall gardens and parkland are open throughout both days to explore at your own pace. Our Garden Cafe will be serving delicious lunches and home-made cream teas throughout the weekend. Alternatively, come and bring your own picnic to enjoy in our parkland!
We will also be putting on taster sessions of our Monthly Wildlife Club for 5-12 year olds. Come along and try your hand at the following:
Pond Dipping - Come and explore the life living in our lakes and create your own zoo
Bugs on Bushes - Explore the wildlife living in the trees, bushes and grasses with sweep nets and pooters
Environmental Art Adventures - Come and have a go at the Japanese art of Hapa Zome (leaf bashing)
Scampston's Community Weekend is open to all Ryedale Residents who have a proof of postcode (free entry for up to 2 adults and 3 children per household).
