Bees, Butterflies and Beyond!
10am - 12pm & 1pm - 3pm
£6 per child
Another fantastic event with Green Underwing, encouraging kids to get outdoors and explore!

Experience the world of bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. We will explore the gardens and grounds of Scampston on a pollinator safari, learning to identify common types of bee and butterfly as well as other amazing creatures. Discover why bees are important to our lives through their role as pollinators. Learn what goes on inside the chrysalis of a butterfly. Marvel at the cunning hoverflies disguised as wasps. The session will end with some bee-related craft in which children can make a home for solitary bees.

This family-friendly session is suitable for ages 4 to 10 years. Children outside of this age range are welcome to participate, however, some of the activities may not be suitable or of interest. Parents and guardians are required to stay with their children during the session.
Please bring suitable clothing for outdoor activities as the session will take place come rain or shine.

Session delivered by naturalist Phil Taylor from Green Underwing Wildlife Education. More information available from:
