From the 30th November Scampston will be selling hand-made decorations by the Croft Community, Camphill Village Trust, alongside their local estate-grown trees.

The decorations will include wreaths, garlands, scented fire-lighters and felted decorations.  A range of Christmas candles will also be available. All the decorations have been hand-made in craft workshops at the Croft Community and use natural ingredients.

Proceeds from the sales of decorations will be going back to the Croft Community, Camphill Village Trust.

Chris Legard, Scampston Estate, commented: “Last year we were so impressed with the quality, character and creativity of the Croft’s hand-made decorations, and we are thrilled to be working with them again.

The decorations are the perfect accompaniment to our locally grown trees which been carefully nurtured here at Scampston by our woodsman. We have trees of all shapes and sizes, to suit all people and spaces! A tree from Scampston is a tree with personality.”

The Croft is a vibrant community in Old Malton, and currently home to 37 community members; an inspiring group of learning disabled adults. The Croft operates a range of supported work opportunities and enterprises including a market garden, town centre café and craft workshops.
