Silk Scarf Workshop Success

On Friday, textile artist Jo Hunter let a brilliant workshop on making your very own 'Nuno' silk scarf.

Last Friday, the Conservatory were joined by textile artist Jo Hunter for a brilliant workshop on the art of silk scarf-making.

A group of textile enthusiasts enjoyed a fantastic day learning how to combine silk fabrics with merino wool to design and create some unique ‘Nuno’ silk scarves. 

One of our participants who enjoyed the course commented that Jo was “patient, experienced” and provided “attention and help in a relaxed environment”. The results were beautiful!

About Jo Hunter
Jo Hunter is a textile artist who combines merino wool, silk and print to create contemporary, felted pieces of work. After completing a textiles degree at Winchester School of Arts, Jo worked in the fashion design industry before entering the teaching profession. She has recently returned to her first passion of textiles and now features her work in various exhibitions and galleries.
