Wet Felting Workshop - Reversible Cowl

Learn the art of feltmaking where you will be guided through the process of creating your own fabulous wet felted Nuno reversible cowl.

BOOK THIS WORKSHOP

You will spend the day in the magnificent Richardson Conservatory within the Walled Garden.

This workshop gives participants all the basic information and skills to learn the technique of Nuno felting, you will create a beautiful wool and silk reversible cowl.

This method of felting uses soap, warm water and agitation to tangle fibres together to create felt. In approximately 6 hours you will explore making a colourful reversible cowl using wool and silks, you will be guided through choosing colours and textures and the wet felting process.

What’s included:

All materials, equipment and tuition to support and guide you through the process of wet felting using traditional hand rolling techniques. You will be guided through choosing colours and textures and then the nuno felting process. You will take away the work you produce on the day plus PDF notes for reference later.

Lunch Options:

Option 1 – Order your lunch from the Café upon arrival.

Option 2 - Bring your own lunch to eat in the conservatory. Tea and coffee will be provided.

Suitable for:

Adults. This Workshop is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to those with experience. Please note: a certain degree of upper arm fitness is required, and participants may find it easier standing up while felting.

Bookings are managed directly by the Tutor, Liz Riley. If you cancel: If you change your mind within 14 days of booking you are entitled to a full refund according to the Consumer Credit Act. If you wish to cancel your booking at any time more than 4 weeks prior to the date of the workshop, your fee will be refunded minus £10.00 administration charge. If you change your mind within 2 weeks of the start of the workshop, no refunds can be made unless we can re-sell the workshop, alternatively you are free to send a substitute. If we cancel: If for any reason, it is necessary to cancel a workshop, all participants will be notified immediately. Participants will receive a full refund. We aim to deliver all workshops as promoted on this website. Unfortunately workshops may be cancelled, or changed, if enrolments are too low or in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
